Getting To and Around Saskatoon
By Air
John G. Diefenbaker International Airport is Saskatoon’s main airport. It is located approximately 15 minutes from the downtown. There are many daily arrivals and departures serving the city from various destinations of Canada, the United States and International countries.
By Ground
VIA Rail trains arrive and depart regularly from the station which is located approximately 15 minutes from the downtown on Chappell Drive.
Greyhound Canada provides daily bus service to various Canadian destinations. The bus terminal is located in the downtown area on 23rd Street East.
Saskatchewan Transportation Company provides frequent daily service between Saskatoon and Regina and many destinations throughout the province.
By Local Transportation
Saskatoon Transit System provides frequent bus service to all parts of the city. When paying fare by cash, please have the exact fare with you as bus operators do not provide change.
Airport Shuttle
There are a variety of shuttle services available to and from local hotels. Specific license agreements permit the Travelodge Hotel, The Sandman Hotel, The Saskatoon Inn, Holiday Inn Express and the Parktown Hotel to provide drop off and pick-up service to and from the designated shuttle areas curbside at the John G. Diefenbaker International Airport. Please note the shuttles are not wheelchair accessible.
Taxi Cab
Saskatoon has three cab companies to serve your needs. Approximate fare from the John G. Diefenbaker International Airport to downtown is $20.00 and from the VIA Rail train station to downtown is $25.00.
